“Department of Quranic Studies Organizes a Seminar on Fasting and Its Impact on Mental Health”

The Department of Quranic Studies and Islamic Education at the College of Education organized an academic seminar for the department’s students entitled “The Impact of Fasting on Human Mental Health”, presented by Asst. Lecturer Hamid Kazem Al-Husseini. The seminar addressed the psychological benefits of fasting and its effects on an individual’s mental and emotional state. The seminar was attended by Dr. Saeed Murad Al-Kuraity, Head of the Department, and Dr. Athir Al-Hasnawi, Department Coordinator, along with several esteemed faculty members. Students actively engaged with the lecture and participated in discussions on the topic. The seminar emphasized that fasting is not only a religious practice but also serves as a means to enhance mental health, strengthen patience, and foster self-discipline, contributing to the development of a balanced personality among students.
