Fuel and Energy Engineering Techniques Department at Almustaqbal University Distributes Brochures on the Occasion of International Women’s Day

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Engineering Technical College / Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies organized, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals—particularly Goal 5 (Gender Equality)—on Tuesday, الموافق March 10, 2026, an awareness activity entitled: (International Women’s Day) Supervised by Lecturer Zahraa Salah Hadi from the Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies. The activity included the distribution of informational brochures highlighting success stories of a number of distinguished women. These were presented to female students and staff of the department as an expression of appreciation for women’s roles and their contributions across various scientific and societal fields. The activity also emphasized the importance of supporting and empowering women in both academic and professional environments. Furthermore, the activity focused on showcasing successful female role models, تعزيز الثقة بقدرات المرأة (enhancing confidence in women’s abilities), and encouraging creativity and excellence, in addition to promoting a culture of equality and equal opportunities within the university community. The activity aimed to raise awareness about the importance of women’s roles in building society, support their academic and professional journeys, and reinforce their position as essential partners in sustainable development.
