Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division, the Women’s Affairs Unit at the Engineering Technical College / Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies organized— in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 5 (Gender Equality)—on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, an awareness activity entitled:
(Celebrating International Women’s Day)
Presented by Lecturer Elaf Jassim Mohammed from the Department of Fuel and Energy Engineering Technologies.
The activity included distributing flowers to the female staff and students of the department as an expression of appreciation and respect for the role of women and their active contributions across various scientific and societal fields. This initiative reflected a strong sense of recognition for women’s status within the university environment.
The activity also focused on promoting a culture of appreciation and support for women, highlighting their pivotal role in building society, and encouraging them to continue giving and innovating in their academic and professional journeys.
The activity aimed to reinforce the values of respect and equality, support women’s empowerment, and enhance their active presence in both the academic environment and society.
This activity comes within the pillar of empowerment and participation and reflects the department’s efforts to support women and strengthen their position across various fields.
