On Tuesday, 10/03/2026, the Department of Artificial Intelligence Technologies Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University held an awareness lecture targeting first-year female students. The event took place in one of the halls of the engineering building on campus and was supervised by the Head of the Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Zahraa Hashim Karim, with the participation of the department’s female staff members. This activity was part of the celebrations marking International Women’s Day. The lecture included comprehensive awareness guidance for students on how to protect themselves from the risks of cyber extortion, ways to maintain digital privacy, and how to safeguard the intellectual property of personal content. It also explained methods for the safe use of digital platforms. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 5 (Gender Equality), by empowering female students and equipping them with the knowledge necessary to protect themselves in the digital space. The seminar also emphasized the importance of students relying on their own abilities to develop innovative projects and build independent academic careers, contributing to the preparation of a technologically aware generation. The event concluded with the distribution of flowers to the female students as a gesture of appreciation for the role of women, reinforcing Al-Mustaqbal University’s leading position among private universities in Iraq and highlighting its pioneering role in serving the university community.
