The Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques held a lecture addressing extremist ideology

As part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to cultivate educated and socially aware students who are resilient against the risks of extremism, the Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Techniques – Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific guidance lecture entitled “Extremist Ideology Undermines Community Safety.” The lecture was held on Monday, March 9, 2026. The lecture was delivered by Asst. Lect. Zainab Ali Mohsen Al-Khafaji, the department rapporteur, and Ms. Anssam Fadhil Mahmoud Agha. It addressed the concept of extremism, the factors contributing to its emergence in societies, and provided an overview of its various forms as well as strategies for addressing and overcoming extremist tendencies. The session also included active participation from students through discussions and the presentation of several real-life situations encountered in society that may contribute to the spread of extremist ideologies, along with appropriate approaches for addressing and preventing them. The lecture aimed to raise students’ awareness and equip them with the knowledge necessary to confront extremist ideas, thereby contributing to the building of a peaceful and tolerant society free from the threats of extremism. This initiative also supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 11, which focuses on building sustainable local communities.
