Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and within the framework of the university’s efforts to promote humanitarian values and support the status of women in society, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Administrative Sciences / Department of Financial and Banking Sciences, organized an awareness seminar entitled: “Promoting a Culture of Preventing Violence Against Women and Building a Safe and Stable Environment.” The seminar was delivered by Ms. Waoud Nasr Wahab on Monday, February 9, 2026, and was attended by a number of professors and students. This initiative comes in implementation of the requirements of the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security (Prevention Pillar) and reflects the goals of Sustainable Development, particularly Goal 5 related to Gender Equality. Main Topics of the Seminar The seminar focused on several strategic objectives that the university seeks to transform into tangible reality, including: Protection and Empowerment: Ways to protect women’s rights from all forms of violence and discrimination. Comprehensive Equality: Promoting equal opportunities between men and women in academic and professional fields. Support and Assistance: Mechanisms for supporting victims of violence and providing them with the necessary legal and psychological assistance.
