Al-Mustaqbal University has strengthened its international presence through academic collaboration with British universities, as part of its efforts to achieve strategic goals aimed at enhancing its academic standing both regionally and internationally. Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of the University, participated in an extensive meeting with the British Council under the Academic Bridge Initiative, launched by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to promote cooperation between Iraqi and British universities. The meeting was held in a hybrid format (in-person and online), allowing broad participation from academics and researchers across various educational institutions. During the meeting, Professor Dr. Majdi presented an overview of the university’s key international initiatives, including: • The summer training program at Teesside University, providing students with practical experience in an international academic environment. • Academic collaboration with the University of Nottingham in the field of pharmacy to develop curricula and exchange knowledge. • Medical and research partnerships with Queen’s College and the University of Manchester, resulting in joint research projects and advanced training opportunities for students. The University President emphasized that these initiatives not only develop students’ skills but also enhance the university’s international reputation, noting that international academic collaboration is a key tool for achieving academic excellence and opening new opportunities for students to face the challenges of the global labor market. These efforts reflect Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to providing a world-class educational environment and establishing strategic partnerships with international academic institutions to support its vision of global engagement.
