Medical training is witnessing a qualitative revolution thanks to augmented reality (AR) technologies, which have become an advanced educational tool enabling students and professionals to practice medical skills in a realistic simulated environment without exposure to actual clinical risks. Augmented reality integrates virtual elements with the real world, allowing users to visualize anatomical structures, surgical procedures, and treatment pathways interactively.
This technology helps improve students’ skills by providing a training environment where precise medical procedures can be repeated multiple times without limitations. It also allows doctors to prepare for complex surgeries by studying a virtual model of the patient’s body, enhancing accuracy and reducing errors.
The role of augmented reality is not limited to education alone; it is also used for surgical guidance during operations, where anatomical information is displayed directly in front of the surgeon, increasing safety and improving clinical outcomes.
With the advancement of modern technologies, augmented reality will be able to deliver even more realistic and precise learning experiences, making it a key element in the future of smart medical training.
