As part of our department’s ongoing efforts to translate the Sustainable Development Goals into tangible reality, specifically Goal 4, “Ensure quality education,” the Department of Optics welcomed Prof. Abbas Al-Bawi on an inspection visit, which was not only intended to review paperwork but also to reinforce a sense of responsibility and integrity within our academic institution. Dr. Al-Bawi reviewed the organizational steps ensuring the smooth conduct of the examination process in accordance with current university regulations. During the tour, Dr. Al-Bawi met with members of the examination committee, expressing his pride in the discipline and professionalism he observed. In his remarks, he emphasized that cooperation is what makes the Department of Optometry a model for academic excellence. The visit concluded with words of thanks and praise from Dr. Al-Bawi to all department staff. This tour was not merely an administrative follow-up but a reaffirmation that students and their futures are always at the heart of our priorities.
