Students of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technologies Department at the Engineering Technical College of Al-Mustaqbal University participated in a student-led tree-planting initiative on Saturday, March 14, 2026, within the university campus, in celebration of International Tree Planting Day. During the initiative, students brought a number of diverse agricultural seedlings and worked together to plant them in the green spaces across the university. This environmental initiative included planting several seedlings in gardens and open areas within the campus. In addition, shade plants were provided to be placed inside the offices of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technologies Department, contributing to improving the campus environment and adding a healthy and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere to places of study and work. The initiative aims to enhance environmental awareness among students and encourage them to engage in volunteer activities that contribute to protecting the environment and expanding green spaces. It also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 13 (Climate Action) and Goal 15 (Life on Land). Al-Mustaqbal University, ranked as the leading private university in Iraq, reaffirms its continuous support for meaningful student initiatives that promote environmental responsibility and strengthen the culture of volunteerism among students, contributing to building a sustainable and environmentally friendly university environment.
