Under the gracious patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen, Dean of the Technical Engineering College, a group of students from the Fuel and Energy Engineering Department participated in the activities of the National Tree-Planting Program, which commenced on Saturday, 14/3. The students participated under the guidance of Mr. Ali Yassin Kazem and Dr. Ammar Abdelkadhim Fathi, contributing to the tree-planting efforts in support of national initiatives aimed at raising environmental awareness and expanding green spaces. This participation reflects the students’ commitment to actively serving the community, as well as highlighting the role of academic institutions in supporting environmental initiatives that contribute to a more sustainable environment. It also demonstrates the students’ sense of responsibility and readiness to engage in activities that serve both society and the environment. The initiative further emphasizes the department’s dedication to instilling a culture of environmental sustainability among students, linking academic knowledge with practical actions that protect the environment and serve the community. This aligns with Goal 15 of the United Nations within the Sustainable Development Goals, which focuses on life on land, preserving ecosystems, and increasing green spaces.
