On Sunday, March 15, 2026, the Department of biology organized the weekly practical lecture for third-year students as part of the course “Microbiology of Water and Soil,” under the supervision of Assistant Professor Duha Salah Sahib. This ongoing practical course aims to reinforce students’ laboratory skills and enable them to keep pace with global techniques in the diagnosis of microorganisms to ensure the highest levels of academic quality. This week’s lecture featured two laboratory sessions during which the staining process focused on samples cultured the previous week; 15 different soil samples were examined using the Rossi and Cholodny Buried Slide Technique. The practical component included a unique activity in which students were able to observe the biological interaction of bacteria within their cultured environment and compare it with standard models, which contributed to enhancing the students’ ability to analyze and draw scientific conclusions with a high accuracy rate of 95% through direct and continuous application. It is worth noting that these practical lectures are part of the strategic plan for scientific activities organized by Future University to promote academic excellence and solidify the university’s position in international rankings by focusing on applied training that simulates the requirements of the job market.
