The university launched a large scale afforestation campaign within its campus and surroundings under the direct patronage and supervision of Professor Dr Hasan Shakir Majdi President of Al Mustaqbal University ,resulting in the planting of ten thousand perennial seedlings as part of the national afforestation program in coordination with the Department of Diwan Affairs to enhance sustainability and environmental protection. This initiative reflects the university commitment to its scientific and social role in improving the academic environment and mitigating the negative impacts of climate change by creating healthy and attractive natural spaces. The campaign witnessed broad participation from academic leaders faculty and staff alongside the active presence of Sustainability Ambassadors students who contributed to enhancing vegetation cover and fostering environmental awareness within the university community. At the conclusion of the event the University President expressed his gratitude to the Department of Diwan Affairs and all participants emphasizing that such initiatives embody collective responsibility in building a sustainable university that serves society and aligns with national trends to build a greener future for generations to come.
