The Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center, organized a training course entitled “Maintenance of Desktop Computers and UPS Devices” for the Departments of Electrical Engineering Technologies, Communications Technologies, and Medical Devices at the College of Engineering Technology. Objectives of the Course: Developing technical skills and enhancing practical expertise in computer maintenance. Improving the technical performance efficiency of supporting academic staff. Keeping pace with technological developments in the field of computing. Lecturers: Dr. Sura Musa Ali Eng. Ali Naji Radi Eng. Haider Karrar Hussein Eng. Haider Jalal Ahmed Course Content: A detailed explanation of the basic components of a computer and their operating mechanisms. Methods for dealing with common technical faults. Preventive and periodic maintenance techniques to maintain the efficiency of computers and UPS devices. Practical Component: The skills explained during the course were applied practically, where participants carried out the disassembly and reassembly of internal computer components and received training on diagnosing faults and performing maintenance procedures.
