The Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques held a comprehensive meeting on Sunday, March 15, 2026, chaired by Lecturer Dr. Dhulfiqar Ahmed Hamza, Head of the Department, with the presence of the Department’s Quality Committee members. The meeting aimed to discuss the latest developments and updates related to academic and research work, in addition to evaluating the department’s performance across various areas. The meeting was held as part of the department’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education and laboratory training for students, keeping pace with modern scientific standards, and ensuring that students acquire both practical and theoretical skills comprehensively. During the meeting, ongoing research projects were reviewed, the challenges faced by students and teaching assistants were discussed, and a series of proposals were presented to improve the research and educational environment within the department, reflecting the University of Al-Mustaqbal’s dedication to developing academic performance and raising quality standards across all departments. Dr. Dhulfiqar Ahmed Hamza emphasized the importance of continuous collaboration among faculty members, administrative staff, and students, stressing that quality and academic excellence are the foundation of the department’s vision for developing medical laboratory education. The meeting also discussed the department’s future plans, which include updating laboratory equipment, organizing specialized training courses for students, and elevating the level of scientific research in accordance with national and international standards. The Head of the Department added that such meetings provide an opportunity to exchange ideas and expertise among committee members and to follow up on the implementation of policies and procedures aimed at improving academic and laboratory performance. He affirmed that the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques aims to serve as a model of excellence in medical education in Iraq. The meeting concluded with thanks extended to all committee members for their fruitful efforts, while emphasizing the need for continuous monitoring of tasks and periodic reports to ensure the achievement of the department’s academic and research objectives.
