Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi and supervised by the Dean of the College of Science, Assist. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, the College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University inaugurated an awareness exhibition against violence toward women. The event was organized by the Department of Life Sciences in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Division, coinciding with the celebration of International Women’s Day.
The exhibition was attended by the Dean of the College, Assist. Prof. Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, along with heads of scientific departments and a number of faculty members. Visitors explored various awareness displays that addressed forms of violence against women, their social and psychological impacts, and emphasized the importance of promoting a culture of respect and equality in society.
During his tour, the Dean of the College highlighted the significance of such awareness initiatives, noting that universities’ roles extend beyond academic education to fostering human awareness and reinforcing ethical values that support societal stability.
The Dean also extended his congratulations to the female staff and faculty on the occasion of International Women’s Day, appreciating their active role in education and academic work, and their contributions toward the advancement and prosperity of educational institutions and society.
The exhibition aims to raise awareness about the dangers of violence against women and the need to combat it by promoting social awareness and strengthening a culture of respect and appreciation for women as essential partners in building and developing society.
This event is part of a series of cultural and awareness activities organized by the College of Science at Al-Mustaqbal University to support humanitarian values, equality, and mutual respect within the community.
