As part of its commitment to strengthening institutional performance and advancing academic and administrative work, Al-Mustaqbal University organized an expanded seminar chaired by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The seminar brought together senior leadership, faculty members, and staff from all university formations, with the participation of the Head of the Radiology Department, to review performance across various sectors and discuss mechanisms for development and institutional organization.
At the beginning of the seminar, the University President delivered a keynote address congratulating university members on the approaching Eid Al-Fitr, praising the achievements accomplished across multiple fields during the previous period. He noted that these accomplishments were the result of the dedicated efforts of colleges, academic departments, and supporting units within the university presidency.
The President emphasized the importance of teamwork and continued progress in institutional development, particularly in automating university operations. He stressed the need to advance the digitalization of the educational process in alignment with the electronic platforms launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, contributing to stronger academic management and an improved digital learning environment.
He also highlighted the importance of embracing students as essential partners in university activities and achievements, stressing the promotion of mutual respect and the reinforcement of professional and humane values across the academic community.
The seminar sessions then commenced with a speech by the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, who reviewed key indicators of the university’s research performance and mechanisms for evaluating institutional performance in accordance with formation plans for the 2025–2026 academic year. He also addressed the activation of memoranda of understanding with local and international universities to strengthen the university’s scientific reputation and global academic presence.
He further discussed preparations for the Future Sustainability Week scheduled to be held on campus in mid-April, in addition to institutional preparations for participation in the EURIE – Eurasia Higher Education Summit 2026, which will take place in Istanbul in early April. The summit is considered a major international event supporting the internationalization of higher education and academic partnerships.
During the seminar, the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, presented the regulations of examination committees and mechanisms for organizing examination procedures to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and transparency.
The seminar also reviewed several important administrative files, including registration procedures in electronic education systems such as IQ-Learning and SIS, quality assurance instructions, academic program standards, accreditation requirements, and the implementation of workload and payroll systems integrated with information technology platforms.
This seminar is part of a series of periodic meetings organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to monitor institutional performance and enhance coordination between academic and administrative units, contributing to the development of the university work environment and the achievement of the highest standards of quality in higher education.
