The Media Department at the College of Arts and Humanities, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a field visit to the Elderly Care Home in Babil Governorate on Saturday morning, March 21, 2026. This initiative aims to check on the residents' well-being and provide them with moral and material support, embodying social solidarity and the university's humanitarian role toward society. The visit included a meeting with the home’s administration to review the services provided and discuss how to meet the needs of the elderly. This was followed by a friendly tour to meet the residents and engage in conversations filled with warmth and appreciation. The initiative also included the distribution of summer clothing and symbolic gifts, a gesture aimed at bringing joy to their hearts and making them feel the community's deep appreciation for their long years of contribution. The initiative was carried out by Assistant Professor Dr. Hamza Obeiss Abdul Sada and Assistant Lecturer Sabah Abbas Khalaf, with the active participation of third-stage students from the department, who helped organize the event and interacted directly with the "fathers and mothers" at the home. This visit is part of a series of voluntary activities that the Media Department is keen to involve students in, aiming to instill noble human values and activate the university's role as a beacon of giving and service to all segments of society in Babylon.
