In a step that embodies the values of social solidarity and reinforces the university's humanitarian role toward the community, the Department of Media at the College of Arts and Humanities at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a field visit to the Elderly Care Home in Babylon Governorate. The visit aimed to check on the residents' well-being and provide them with both moral and material support.
The visit included a meeting with the home’s administration to review the services provided and discuss how to meet the needs of the elderly. This was followed by a friendly tour to meet the residents and engage in conversations filled with warmth and appreciation.
The initiative also included the distribution of summer clothing and symbolic gifts, a gesture aimed at bringing joy to their hearts and making them feel the community's deep appreciation for their long years of contribution.
The initiative was carried out by Assistant Professor Dr. Hamza Obeiss Abdul Sada and Assistant Lecturer Sabah Abbas Khalaf, with the active participation of third-stage students from the department, who helped organize the event and interacted directly with the "fathers and mothers" at the home.
This visit is part of a series of voluntary activities that the Media Department is keen to involve students in, aiming to instill noble human values and activate the university's role as a beacon of giving and service to all segments of society in Babylon.
