Under the auspices of the Presidency of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Department of Archaeology at the College of Arts, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Division, hosted a specialized training workshop from March 14 to 16, 2026. The event saw active participation from faculty members, researchers, and professionals dedicated to the archaeological field. The workshop commenced on its first day with a scientific lecture presented by Assistant Professor Haider Jabbar Hassan, titled"Forgery of Antiquities: Coinage as a Model" The session explored sophisticated methods and techniques used in counterfeiting ancient coins, alongside modern scientific mechanisms for their detection. It further highlighted the historical and scientific significance of these artifacts in studying ancient civilizations.The workshop aimed to enhance participants' skills and expertise in archaeological analysis, contributing to the protection of cultural heritage from forgery and manipulation. This initiative aligns with the academic efforts to preserve national identity and reflects the ongoing series of scientific activities organized by the Department of Archaeology.
