The Department of Radiological Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, conducted an introductory scientific workshop for its students in the Radiography Laboratory, presented by Mr. Hassan Muammar Al-Sultani. This initiative reflects the department’s commitment to keeping pace with rapid scientific and technological developments in medical imaging and familiarizing students with the latest techniques used in the field.
The workshop focused on introducing the concept of artificial intelligence (AI) and its growing role in analyzing radiographic images and supporting medical diagnosis in hospitals and healthcare centers. The session highlighted how AI technologies enhance diagnostic accuracy and speed in detecting medical conditions, as well as their contribution to informed clinical decision-making. Additionally, the workshop showcased several modern applications currently used in medical imaging and radiological data analysis.
Emphasis was placed on the importance of exposing radiological technology students to AI applications early in their academic journey, as such knowledge provides a scientific and professional advantage, helps develop their practical skills, and strengthens their ability to adapt to the ongoing digital transformation in the healthcare sector.
This workshop is part of a series of scientific activities regularly organized by the Department of Radiological Techniques, aiming to prepare specialized graduates with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, capable of utilizing modern technologies in medical imaging to support diagnosis and enhance the quality of healthcare services.
