The Department of Media at the College of Arts and Humanities at Al-Mustaqbal University witnessed the commencement of graduation research defense for fourth-stage students for the academic year 2025-2026. A total of 81 male and female students from both morning and evening studies participated in the event.
The research topics varied to touch upon contemporary issues reflecting the requirements of the digital age. Most papers focused on studying the impact of the information revolution and modern technologies on media consumption patterns, analyzing shifts in audience behavior toward social media platforms, and exploring specialized topics in New Media and digital content creation.
Professor Dr. Akram Faraj Al-Rubaie, Head of the Media Department, confirmed the formation of a specialized committee to oversee the defense process, comprising a group of distinguished media professors and research supervisors. He established precise criteria for evaluating the submitted works, primarily focusing on the student's adherence to scientific research methodology—based on the curriculum completed during their second stage—and their ability to employ methodological tools in addressing the studied
phenomena.
Dr. Al-Rubaie praised the students' efforts in selecting topics that keep pace with recent developments and contribute academic insights into the digital environment's influence on public opinion, expressing his hope that these research papers represent a genuine addition to the local media field.
