As part of scientific activities aimed at enhancing knowledge and developing skills in the field of rehabilitation engineering, a scientific seminar titled “Assistive Technology and Improving the Quality of Life for People with Disabilities” was held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. The seminar was delivered by Engineer Hadeer Hussam Hashem, with the attendance of a number of students and interested participants.
The seminar addressed the importance of assistive technology in supporting and empowering people with disabilities, its role in enhancing independence and social inclusion, as well as highlighting the latest technologies and engineering solutions used in this field. It also shed light on practical applications that contribute to improving quality of life.
This seminar aims to raise awareness about the importance of innovation in assistive technology, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), by supporting and empowering vulnerable groups both technologically and socially.
