The Department of Archaeology at the College of Arts, Al-Mustaqbal University, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, continues the activities of its specialized training course held from March 14–16, 2026, aimed at developing participants’ skills in detecting forged antiquities. On the second day of the course, Assistant Lecturer Ali Ihsan Abdul Ali delivered a lecture titled “Forgery of Copper Artifacts”, in which he presented the latest techniques used in forging metal artifacts, as well as the scientific methods employed to identify forgeries and authenticate original pieces. This lecture follows the course’s opening session, presented by Assistant Lecturer Haider Jabbar Hassan, on coin forgery, reflecting the department’s efforts to enhance research capabilities and raise awareness about the importance of protecting cultural heritage.
