The Department of Archaeology at the College of Arts, Al-Mustaqbal University, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, concluded its specialized training course on detecting the falsification of artifacts held from March 14 to 16, 2026. The final day featured a specialized scientific lecture delivered by Lecturer Zaid Saeed Jaber titled "Models of Falsified Seals," in which he presented a precise analytical review of various applied models of cylinder and stamp seals, highlighting the technical and artistic differences between authentic pieces and those modernly manufactured for deception. The lecture also focused on revealing the methods used to simulate historical incisions and symbols and the scientific ways to diagnose them. This session concluded a series of scientific pillars that addressed the falsification of coins and copper artifacts, aiming to enhance the field skills of participants and protect Iraqi cultural heritage from the risks of manipulation and scientific theft, affirming the leading role of Al-Mustaqbal University in supporting civilization identity and consolidating the scientific approach in preserving antiquities.
