As part of the participation of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering Department in the major tree planting campaign organized by Al-Mustaqbal University, and on the occasion of the National Afforestation Program, the “Planting Hope” initiative was held on Saturday, March 14, 2026. The campaign was supervised by Asst. Prof. Dr. Firas Thaer Raouf, Asst. Lecturer Maryam Ghassan Ghaffar and Asst Lecturer Muntadhar Saleh Mahdi, with active participation from the department’s students and staff. This participation aims to enhance environmental awareness and promote a culture of tree planting within the university community, as well as to foster a spirit of volunteerism and social responsibility among students, contributing to the creation of a healthy and sustainable educational environment. The campaign included planting a number of trees and plants across various areas of the university campus, as a step toward improving the environmental landscape, reducing pollution, and increasing green spaces. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 13 (Climate Action) and Goal 15 (Life on Land), by supporting environmental efforts aimed at achieving sustainability and protecting natural resources.
