Al-Mustaqbal University Holds an Expanded Seminar to Review Digital Transformation Requirements, Programmatic Accreditation, and Institutional Work Development Mechanisms

In line with Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to enhancing institutional performance efficiency and advancing the quality of academic and administrative work, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, chaired an expanded seminar attended by senior staff, faculty members, and all university personnel. The seminar aimed to review performance across various institutional sectors and discuss mechanisms for development and organizational structuring. At the outset of the seminar, the President delivered a guiding speech in which he extended his congratulations to the university staff on the approaching occasion of Eid al-Fitr, praising the achievements accomplished by the university in various fields during the previous period. He emphasized that these accomplishments were the result of the dedicated efforts of colleges, academic departments, and supporting units within the university presidency. In his address, the President stressed the importance of teamwork and the need to move forward in enhancing institutional performance, particularly in the automation of university operations. He highlighted the importance of automating the educational process in alignment with the electronic platforms launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which contributes to improving academic management efficiency and developing a digital learning environment. He further emphasized the importance of supporting students and considering them essential partners in the university’s activities and achievements, underscoring the need to promote mutual respect and foster principles of professional and humane interaction among all members of the academic community. The seminar sessions continued with a speech by the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Mudhafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, who reviewed key indicators related to research activity at the university and performance evaluation mechanisms in accordance with the plans of academic units for the academic year 2025–2026. He also highlighted opportunities to activate memoranda of understanding with local and international universities, contributing to strengthening the university’s academic reputation and enhancing its presence in international academic circles. He also addressed preparations for the upcoming “Future Sustainability Week,” scheduled to be held on campus in mid-April, as well as institutional participation in the EURIE 2026 – Eurasia Higher Education Summit, which will take place in early April in Istanbul, as one of the prominent international events in higher education internationalization and academic partnership development. Additionally, the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, discussed examination committee regulations and mechanisms for organizing examination processes to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and transparency. The seminar also included a review of several important organizational files, including guidelines for registration in electronic educational systems such as IQ-Learning and SIS, as well as quality assurance instructions, academic program requirements, and accreditation standards. Furthermore, discussions addressed workload systems and salary data linked to information technology systems. This seminar comes as part of a series of periodic meetings organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to monitor institutional performance and strengthen coordination among academic and administrative units, contributing to the development of the university work environment and achieving the highest standards of quality in higher education.
