Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Hassan Shaker Majdi, the university officially inaugurated its Agricultural Research Station on campus, coinciding with the National Afforestation Day. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to promoting applied scientific research and supporting sustainable agricultural development.
The station was established under the supervision of the Diwan Affairs Department with the aim of conducting applied studies and field experiments that contribute to enhancing agricultural productivity and optimizing the use of natural resources. It serves as an effective link between theoretical research and practical agricultural applications.
The research station focuses on designing and implementing scientific experiments based on rigorous methodologies. Its work includes improving crop varieties, evaluating modern agricultural technologies, managing soil and water resources, controlling pests and plant diseases, and advancing sustainable farming systems. It also employs advanced statistical designs and experimental approaches to ensure the accuracy and applicability of its findings.
The station consists of several specialized research units, including experimental fields, greenhouses, laboratories for soil, water, and plant analysis, as well as seed propagation and plant breeding units.
During the inauguration ceremony, the University President emphasized that the establishment of this station represents a strategic step toward utilizing scientific research to serve the community and enhance food security. He also noted that its launch alongside National Afforestation Day highlights the university’s dedication to environmental initiatives and sustainability.
Through such scientific and environmental initiatives, Al-Mustaqbal University continues to foster a knowledge-driven academic environment that contributes to the development of the agricultural sector and supports national efforts toward sustainable development.
