As part of its scientific activities aimed at enhancing health awareness and developing academic knowledge, the Department of Medical Biotechnology organized a scientific workshop entitled “Hormones in the Human Body and Their Importance” on March 2, 2026, with the participation of a number of the department’s students. The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Sajaa Jawad Ubaid, who discussed the importance of hormones in regulating various body functions and their vital role in maintaining internal balance. She also highlighted the effects of hormonal imbalances on human health, in addition to reviewing the main types of hormones and their mechanisms of action within the body. The workshop witnessed active engagement from the attendees through scientific discussions and questions, which contributed to deepening understanding and enhancing the practical aspect among students. This workshop comes as part of a series of scientific workshops through which the department seeks to promote a culture of continuous learning and develop students’ scientific skills.
