As part of the efforts of the Al-Mustaqbal University to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Techniques – Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific visit for the department’s students to Al-Imam Al-Sadiq Teaching Hospital / Dialysis Unit on Sunday, March 15, 2026. The visit was supervised by the department rapporteur, Assistant Lecturer Zainab Ali Mohsen, and the faculty member Assistant Lecturer Kadhim Hussein Jassim.
This initiative aims to strengthen the practical aspect of students’ education, develop their hands-on skills, and enhance academic collaboration with healthcare institutions.
During the visit, students were introduced to the operational mechanism of the hemodialysis machine. The specialized medical staff provided a detailed explanation of the device’s components and its operating procedures, in addition to clarifying the blood purification process and the role of the machine in compensating for kidney functions in patients suffering from renal failure. Students were also given the opportunity to conduct direct field observations of clinical cases and to learn about the major causes of kidney failure.
This visit comes as part of a series of scientific activities regularly organized by the department with the aim of preparing qualified medical and technical personnel equipped with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to meet the demands of the healthcare sector.
