the Department of Forensic Evidence at the College of Science, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a workshop entitled “Criminal Study,” delivered by Assistant Lecturer Raed Jawad Kadhim, in Hall 208 at the Humanities Building, with distinguished attendance from the department’s students. The workshop explored the study of criminals from multiple perspectives, highlighting the scientific foundations of analyzing criminal behavior and the psychological and social factors that contribute to the formation of a criminal personality, such as environment, upbringing, and economic pressures. It also addressed classifications of criminals based on crime patterns and motives, explaining the differences between organized and individual crimes. Furthermore, the workshop emphasized the role of criminal analysis in understanding how offenders think and predicting their possible behavior, which assists authorities in narrowing down suspects and accelerating investigations. It also discussed the importance of linking physical evidence with behavioral analysis to reach accurate and scientifically supported conclusions. The workshop witnessed active engagement from students through discussions and questions, creating a dynamic academic atmosphere and deepening their understanding of this important field in forensic science.
