In an effort to promote the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, the Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Techniques – Al-Mustaqbal University organized a guidance workshop entitled “What to Say to a Patient Who Feels Hopeless About Recovery.” The workshop was delivered by Prof. Dr. Younis Abdul Ridha Al-Khafaji, Head of the Department of Dialysis Kidney Techniques, on Monday, March 9, 2026. The workshop included a guidance lecture on how to properly receive and communicate with patients experiencing feelings of hopelessness regarding their recovery. It also presented several important recommendations and approaches aimed at promoting positive energy, psychological support, and fostering hope among patients. The workshop aims to enhance the humanistic and professional communication skills of healthcare staff and students during their summer training, particularly in dealing with patients who experience despair regarding their recovery.
