The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, chaired an expanded seminar attended by senior leadership, faculty members, and staff from across the university to review institutional performance and discuss mechanisms for improving academic and administrative work.
At the beginning of the meeting, the University President congratulated the university community on the approaching Eid al-Fitr, praising the achievements accomplished through the collective efforts of colleges, academic departments, and supporting administrative units. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and the continued development of institutional performance, particularly through the automation of university operations and the advancement of digital learning in line with the electronic platforms introduced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
He also stressed the importance of supporting students and recognizing them as key partners in the university’s activities and achievements, highlighting the need to strengthen mutual respect and positive engagement within the academic community.
The seminar continued with a presentation by the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, who reviewed key indicators of the university’s research activity and the mechanisms for evaluating performance according to the plans of the university’s formations for the 2025–2026 academic year. He also highlighted the activation of memoranda of understanding with local and international universities to strengthen the university’s academic reputation and expand its global engagement.
He further addressed preparations for Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week, scheduled for mid-April on campus, as well as the university’s participation in EURIE 2026 – Eurasia Higher Education Summit, which will be held in Istanbul, an important international platform for higher education cooperation and internationalization.
During the seminar, the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, reviewed the regulations governing examination committees and the mechanisms for organizing examinations to ensure accuracy and transparency.
The seminar also addressed several administrative and technical issues, including registration procedures within the university’s electronic systems such as IQ-Learning and SIS, quality assurance requirements, academic program accreditation, and the implementation of the workload and salary system supported by information technology platforms.
The seminar forms part of the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen coordination among academic and administrative units and enhance the quality of higher education.
