The Department of Industrial College Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized awareness activities on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, on the occasion of World Kidney Day. The event took place in the Medical Building – Ground Floor – Abdul Razzaq Al-Wahid Hall, with the participation of a number of faculty members and students. The event was held under the slogan: “Kidney Health for All – Caring for People and Protecting the Planet,” aiming to enhance health awareness among students and the community, and to highlight the importance of maintaining kidney health and preventing related diseases. The activities included awareness lectures and interactive educational sessions. The Head of the Department, Professor Dr. Younis Abdul Redha Al-Khafaji, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of health education in disease prevention. Meanwhile, Dr. Bashar Al-Araji presented a lecture on ways to maintain kidney health during the holy month of Ramadan. The event witnessed remarkable engagement from attendees through asking questions and participating in educational sessions, reflecting a high level of awareness and interest in health issues within the university community. The department presidency affirmed its commitment to organizing such activities that contribute to spreading health awareness and promoting community health, stressing the importance of supporting health initiatives and active participation in them. This event comes as part of the university’s efforts to provide an integrated educational and healthy environment, and to support the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 related to good health and well-being.
