In line with al mustaqbal University’s commitment to enhancing institutional performance efficiency and advancing the level of academic and administrative work, the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, chaired an expanded seminar that brought together senior staff, faculty members, and affiliates from all university formations. The seminar aimed to review performance across various sectors and discuss mechanisms for development and institutional organization.
At the beginning of the seminar, the University President delivered a guiding speech in which he congratulated the university members on the approaching Eid al-Fitr holiday, praising the achievements accomplished by the university in various fields during the past period. He noted that these accomplishments were the result of the efforts of colleges, academic departments, and supporting units within the university presidency.
In his speech, the President emphasized the importance of teamwork and moving forward in developing institutional performance, particularly in the field of automating university operations. He highlighted the need to focus on automating the educational process in alignment with the electronic platforms launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, contributing to enhancing academic management efficiency and developing the digital learning environment.
He also stressed the importance of embracing students as essential partners in the university’s activities and achievements, underlining the need to promote mutual respect and reinforce principles of professional and humane interaction among all members of the university community.
Following this, the seminar sessions commenced with a speech by the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, who reviewed key indicators related to the university’s research activity and performance evaluation mechanisms in accordance with the plans of the academic units for the 2025–2026 academic year. He also addressed areas for activating memoranda of understanding with local and international universities, contributing to strengthening the university’s academic reputation and expanding its presence in international academic circles.
He further discussed preparations for hosting the “Future Sustainability Week,” scheduled to take place on campus in mid-April of the current year, as well as preparations for institutional participation in the EURIE 2026 – Eurasia Higher Education Summit, to be held in early April in Istanbul, as one of the significant international events in the field of higher education internationalization and academic partnerships.
During the seminar, the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, also addressed examination committee instructions and mechanisms for organizing examination processes to ensure the highest standards of accuracy and transparency.
The seminar also included a review of several important organizational files, including instructions for registration in electronic learning systems such as IQ-Learning and SIS, as well as guidelines related to quality assurance, academic programs, and accreditation requirements. In addition, discussions covered data related to the implementation of workload and salary systems linked to information technology systems.
This seminar is part of a series of periodic meetings organized by Future University to monitor institutional performance and enhance coordination between academic and administrative units, contributing to the development of the university work environment and achieving the highest standards of quality in higher education.
