In line with the university’s role in keeping pace with modern technological and legal challenges, the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at the College of Administrative Sciences, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a distinguished scientific seminar entitled: “Criminal Protection of Individuals from Artificial Intelligence Technologies” The seminar was held under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences, Professor Dr. Haider Ali Mohammed Al-Dulaimi, with field follow-up from the Head of the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences. The seminar featured valuable scientific contributions by: Asst. Lecturer Mohammed Hamza Eidan (Al-Mustaqbal University – College of Administrative Sciences) Asst. Lecturer Jassim Mohammed Ibrahim (University of Babylon – College of Law) The speakers addressed key dimensions related to the risks arising from the misuse of artificial intelligence technologies and discussed ways to confront emerging crimes resulting from rapid technological advancement. The sessions also emphasized the importance of developing solid legal and legislative frameworks to regulate the use of these technologies and protect societal security from digital threats. The seminar concluded with recommendations highlighting the importance of strengthening coordination between security and legislative institutions to tackle digital challenges, as well as promoting legal and technological awareness among members of society to safeguard them against the risks of AI misuse.
