Under the patronage of the respected Dean of the Engineering Technical College, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, a meeting was held with the attendance of the Head of the Women Empowerment Committee in the department, Shahad Ghalib Abbas, and the Head of the Women Empowerment Unit in the college, to discuss the current status of women empowerment activities and mechanisms for their development within the department.
The meeting addressed a review of the planned activities the Women Empowerment Committee’s plan, which aim to strengthen the role of women in the academic environment and develop their scientific and professional skills, in alignment with the directions of the Ministry of Higher Education and the Sustainable Development Goals.
It also discussed ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the department’s committee and the Women Empowerment Unit, contributing to the organization of workshops, awareness seminars, and training sessions that highlight women’s issues—especially in cybersecurity—and support their active participation in the university community.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Dean affirmed his continuous support for all activities and initiatives that enhance the status of women, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts to achieve the desired goals.
