The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ha Ha Al-Askari, extended his thanks and appreciation to the female staff of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on the occasion of International Women’s Day, observed on March 8, 2026, in recognition of women’s active role and their continued achievements in supporting the progress of higher education and scientific research in Iraq. His Excellency praised the pivotal role played by Iraqi women in academic, scientific, and administrative institutions, as well as their continuous contributions and qualitative efforts in advancing the educational process and enhancing the research environment, in a way that contributes to achieving development goals and building a knowledge-based society. The Minister also emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to supporting and empowering women by providing an academic and professional environment that enhances their active participation across various scientific and administrative fields. He noted that Iraqi women have demonstrated their competence and capability in fulfilling their responsibilities and duties in different workplaces.
