Al-Mustaqbal University Organizes a Workshop to Strengthen the Role of Women in Combating Drug Abuse The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering Technologies – Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies, in cooperation with the University’s Women’s Affairs Division, organized an awareness-raising and developmental workshop under the supervision of Engineer Israa Issa Ibrahim on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. The workshop, entitled “Women as the Backbone of the Family and Society in Confronting the Threat of Drugs,” was held under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The workshop highlighted the pivotal role of women in protecting both the family and society from the dangers of drug abuse. It emphasized the importance of early awareness within the family, the promotion of positive supervision, and the creation of a supportive environment to limit the spread of this serious social problem. This initiative comes as part of a series of activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal University to enhance the status of women and highlight their contributions to building a sustainable future, in alignment with the university’s strategic vision and within the framework of the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security (2025–2030), reflecting a strong commitment to protecting women and strengthening their role in society.
