As part of guidance activities aimed at preparing students for professional life, the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized a seminar entitled “From Classroom to the Labor Market,” delivered by Assistant Lecturer Montather Saleh Mahdi and Engineer Aya Talib Hassan, on March 7, 2026.
The seminar aimed to introduce students to labor market requirements and the mechanisms of transitioning from academic life to the professional environment, by highlighting the essential skills graduates need, ways of self-development, and how to build a successful career path. It also included practical guidance on writing a CV, interview skills, and the importance of gaining practical experience during the study period.
This seminar aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), by preparing qualified students capable of effectively integrating into the labor market.
