As part of scientific and awareness activities aimed at enhancing students’ environmental awareness, the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized an awareness campaign that included distributing educational brochures titled *“The Role of Industries in Water Pollution”* on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Maryam Ghassan Ghaffar, with the participation of Engineer Aya Talib Hassan and Assistant Lecturer Hala Muhannad Ismail Haqi. The campaign aimed to raise students’ awareness of the risks of industrial pollution on water resources by providing simplified information about pollution sources resulting from factories and their impact on the environment and human health, in addition to highlighting the importance of proper treatment of industrial waste. The brochures included a set of guidelines and recommendations encouraging environmentally friendly industrial practices and promoting the role of individuals in spreading environmental awareness. The campaign also witnessed positive engagement from students, reflecting their awareness of the importance of water conservation and reducing pollution in line with sustainable development goals.
