As part of awareness activities aimed at promoting environmental culture and instilling sustainability concepts, the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized an awareness campaign that included distributing an educational brochure titled “Strategies to Reduce Water Degradation” on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Maryam Ghassan Ghaffar, with the participation of Engineer Aya Talib Hassan and Assistant Lecturer Hala Muhannad Ismail Haqi. The campaign aimed to raise students’ awareness of the key methods and strategies that contribute to preserving water resources and reducing their degradation, by highlighting the importance of rational consumption, water treatment, and reducing pollution in all its forms. The brochure included a set of practical guidelines encouraging the adoption of responsible behaviors in dealing with water, alongside emphasizing the role of individuals and institutions in protecting this vital resource. The campaign also witnessed positive engagement from students, reflecting their growing awareness of the importance of water conservation and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
