As part of awareness activities aimed at promoting environmental consciousness and sustainability concepts, the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized an awareness campaign that included distributing an educational brochure titled “Climate Change and Its Impact on Water” on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Maryam Ghassan Ghaffar, with the participation of Engineer Aya Talib Hassan and Assistant Lecturer Hala Muhannad Ismail Haqi. The campaign aimed to raise students’ awareness of the major impacts of climate change on water resources, such as decreasing water levels, increased drought rates, and deterioration of water quality, along with the resulting environmental and economic challenges. The brochure included a set of information and guidelines highlighting the importance of adapting to these changes, adopting responsible practices to mitigate their effects, and reinforcing the role of individuals in conserving water resources. The campaign also witnessed positive engagement from students, reflecting the growing awareness of the importance of water protection and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
