The Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized an awareness campaign that included distributing an educational brochure titled "Empowering Women in Iraqi Society" on March 12, 2026, implemented by Assistant Lecturer Maryam Ghassan Ghaffar and Assistant Lecturer Hala Muhannad Ismail. The brochure aims to raise awareness among students and the community about the importance of empowering women in various social, economic, and educational fields, highlighting their active role in sustainable development and building a balanced society that ensures equality and equal opportunities. It included a set of practical guidelines and recommendations that encourage women’s participation and empowerment, enabling them to make decisions and contribute effectively across different sectors, reflecting the university’s commitment to supporting societal values and empowering all community members.
