The Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized an awareness campaign titled "Think Wisely… Say No to Extremism", implemented by Assistant Lecturer Maryam Ghassan Ghaffar on March 24, 2026. The campaign aimed to raise awareness among students and university staff about the dangers of extremism in all its forms, highlighting ways to prevent it through critical thinking, cultural and social awareness, and fostering values of tolerance and moderation. It also focused on encouraging youth to participate positively in society and contribute to building a safe and educational environment free from extremism and violence. The campaign included the distribution of educational materials and practical guidelines to promote an anti-extremism culture, reflecting the university’s commitment to instilling values of civic awareness and belonging among students.
