March 25, 2026 – The Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques at the university organized a specialized online workshop entitled “The Latest Developments in the Treatment of Chronic Diseases,” aiming to enhance students’ scientific knowledge and practical skills, and to enable them to keep up with the latest methods and technologies used in monitoring and diagnosing chronic diseases.
The workshop covered several important educational topics, including modern laboratory analysis techniques for monitoring chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart diseases, as well as demonstrating the use of advanced analytical devices and accurately monitoring patients’ vital indicators. The workshop also included virtual practical training on analyzing clinical cases, allowing students to understand the practical workflow, from sample collection and processing to result interpretation and preparation of medical reports.
The workshop featured interactive discussion sessions, where participants could ask questions and discuss practical challenges and how to address them in the laboratory setting. Additionally, the latest scientific studies and research related to chronic disease treatment and evaluation of different therapies were presented.
The workshop was delivered via the university’s approved online learning platforms, in accordance with the scheduled timetable, ensuring that all students could benefit from its scientific content, interact directly with instructors, and follow all practical and theoretical details related to modern laboratory analyses.
The university administration emphasized the importance of organizing such online workshops regularly, due to their significant role in developing students’ scientific and practical skills, enhancing e-learning, and keeping up with rapid developments in the field of medical laboratory techniques. The administration also stressed the need to maintain high-quality workshop delivery and closely monitor their progress to ensure academic objectives are achieved and students’ competency in applying the latest scientific techniques effectively and practically is enhanced.
