The Scientific and Academic Supervision Office at Al-Mustaqbal University Holds a Meeting on Women’s Affairs and Emphasizes Active Participation in Sustainability Week

The Scientific and Academic Supervision Office at Al-Mustaqbal University held a meeting for the Women’s Affairs Division on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in line with the directives of the University President, Prof. Hassan Shakir Majdi, with the participation of concerned members. The meeting aimed to follow up on the implementation of the ministerial program related to women’s affairs and to enhance mechanisms for documenting activities and initiatives and promoting them عبر media and social platforms. The meeting included discussions on several organizational and developmental aspects. It was chaired by the Academic Supervisor, Prof. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, and attended by Ms. Mary Imran, Head of the Women’s Affairs Division at the University Presidency, along with liaison members from various university departments. Emphasis was placed on activating the role of the Women’s Affairs Division through organizing awareness programs, specialized workshops, and hosting influential female figures to discuss societal issues, as well as addressing contemporary challenges related to technological advancements, artificial intelligence, and climate change. The meeting recorded notable engagement from attendees through their proposals and ideas aimed at developing work mechanisms and plans for the 2025–2026 academic year. The Scientific and Academic Supervision Office affirmed its commitment to supporting activities and programs that enhance the role of women in the academic community, in line with sustainable development goals. The importance of active and distinguished participation of the Women’s Affairs Division in Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week, scheduled for mid-April 2026, was also emphasized, reflecting its contribution to supporting sustainable development goals and strengthening women’s presence in this المجال.
