Department of Radiology Techniques Holds a Scientific Workshop Titled “The Pulse of the Earth and the Pulse of Humanity” at Al-Mustaqbal University

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Jadi, the Department of Radiology Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Pulse of the Earth and the Pulse of Humanity.” The workshop addressed the impacts of climate change and water crises on sustainable health security, as part of the department’s scientific activities aimed at enhancing scientific, environmental, and health awareness among students and academic staff. The workshop discussed the relationship between climate change and human health and highlighted the effects of water crises on the sustainability of healthcare systems. It also addressed major environmental and health challenges facing societies due to accelerating climate changes and explored ways to reduce their impacts through environmental awareness and sustainable practices. The workshop lectures were delivered by Assist. Lecturer Ali Hussein Shaker and Assist. Lecturer Noor Sabah Jabr, who presented several scientific topics related to the impact of climate change on public health, the importance of sustainable water resource management, and the role of academic institutions in spreading knowledge and promoting a culture of sustainability. This workshop aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation and Goal 13: Climate Action, contributing to strengthening the role of educational institutions in addressing environmental and health challenges and serving the community.
