As part of scientific activities aimed at spreading environmental awareness and promoting sustainability concepts, the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering organized an online scientific seminar entitled “World Water Day: Towards a Sustainable Water Future” on Thursday, March 26, 2026. The seminar was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Muntadhar Salih Mahdi, Head of the Department, who highlighted the importance of preserving water resources, the challenges they face due to climate change and population growth, as well as modern strategies for achieving sustainable water management. The seminar aimed to raise students’ awareness about the importance of rationalizing water consumption and enhancing their role in protecting this vital resource, in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), contributing to ensuring a safe and sustainable water future for future generations.
