On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, the Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries at the College of Engineering, Future University, organized an online workshop titled “Analysis of Water Safety and Security Plans through Water Conservation,” presented by Eng. Zainab Hassan Ali at 6:00 p.m., with the participation of department students, with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of water resource management and ensuring water safety.
The workshop addressed the concept of water safety and security plans and their importance in maintaining water quality and reducing associated risks, while highlighting water conservation mechanisms and effective management methods that contribute to the sustainability of water resources.
The workshop also reviewed the most significant challenges facing water systems and ways to address them through the application of scientific strategies that ensure the provision of safe and potable water, in accordance with environmental and health standards.
This workshop is part of the department’s efforts to support the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 6 on clean water and sanitation, thereby enhancing environmental awareness and affirming the role of the academic institution in achieving sustainability.
