On Thursday, March 26, 2026, the Department of Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Industries at the College of Engineering, Future University, organized a scientific workshop titled “Water Resources Management in the Context of Climate Change,” presented by Eng. Abrar Falah Naji, with the aim of highlighting the challenges facing water resources in the context of environmental changes and raising awareness of ways to manage them sustainably. The workshop addressed the concept of water resource management and its importance in addressing the impacts of climate change, focusing on the effects of climate change on water availability and quality, as well as reviewing the most prominent modern methods for rationalizing consumption and improving the efficiency of water resource use. It also addressed the importance of adopting scientific strategies that contribute to water conservation and waste reduction, thereby supporting water security and promoting environmental sustainability across various sectors. This workshop is part of the department’s efforts to support the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 6 on clean water and sanitation and Goal 13 on climate action, reflecting the role of academic institutions in addressing environmental challenges and providing sustainable scientific solutions.
